Lemon Myrtle ‘Queen of lemon herbs’

A native Australian botanical, the traditional custodians of the land who came before us have used this native plant for its powerful healing properties for many thousands of years. The powerful antiseptic, antimicrobial, antifungal and healing properties in lemon myrtle come from its high concentrations of plant citral (over 90%). It’s proven to be the most concentrated source of citral in the world.

Lemon myrtle is gently grown, harvested and distilled in our custom-built still here on our family farm using traditional methods. Used in our products as an essential oil, it’s deeply cleansing and rids the skin of bacteria causing acne and irritation. Lemon Myrtle’s powerful antioxidant properties strengthen and protect skin cells. Did we mention it smells like sunshine? The lemon myrtle scent is well-known in aromatherapy for relieving stress.

Lemon myrtle contains a range of antioxidants, vitamin A and E and essential minerals such as zinc and magnesium to not only provide comprehensive protection but also repairs to the skin

From our farm, to your skin

Lemon myrtle skin care starts in the soil. Our Backhousia citriodora (its botanical name) orchard hums with insects and our bees on our family farm where we tend to almost 100 acres of native botanical plants. As a family business, we are involved in every aspect of lemon myrtle production. We nurture the soil, plant the trees, harvest the fresh vibrant leaves by hand, and distil the plant oils with intention and care, using traditional steam distilling methods right here on the farm. Our homegrown, farm-made essential oils are a powerful part of our nourishing products. Transported to our state-of-the-art Sydney manufacturing facility, it’s made into our lemon myrtle skin care products with the help of our on-site product development specialists. Our intentions through the whole process are to be natural, be ethical and treat the land with respect.

Lemon myrtle and manuka honey soap is beautifully subtle, soft, and gentle on my
little ones’ skin. Our household happily use it because it doesn’t ‘stick’ with us.
